Notes augmented

We've enhanced and de-bugged Notes. If you haven't tried it yet, now's the time! You can create a private note when you ban multiple users. You can also delete multiple notes at once. Lastly, paid users have the option to add a note (visible only to you) whenever you add or remove a friend (guaranteed to avoid embarrassing social mishaps). If you don't currently have a paid account, you can upgrade now! It only takes a few minutes and costs less than a bad shopping mall haircut (plus, it's way more fashionable)!

Product tweaks and bug kill

  1. In another effort to zap spam, comments containing links from domains LiveJournal deems untrustworthy are now automatically screened
  2. If you sign up to get notifications of the Writer's Block question of the day, you'll now see the daily question in the email notification, so you'll have a little extra time to ponder before you post. You can subscribe to Writers Block notifications here
  3. The issue causing random comments to vanish has been fixed!
  4. If you visit a LiveJournal page and get prompted to log in, you'll be returned to the same page after you sign in (Thanks, Dreamwidth)!
  5. If you don't edit the timestamp for an entry at all, the entry timestamp will indicate the time the entry was posted instead of the time the Update Journal page was loaded
  6. Comments with paddings/backgrounds render correctly within the comment box (and will no longer wrap outside the box and break frames/margins)

New FCK fixes rich text editor!

  1. We've updated our RTE (Rich Text Editor) to FCKeditor version 2.6.5
  2. When switching from the RTE to HTML editor, links for syndicated feeds are no longer broken
  3. RTE now functions properly in Safari 4.0
  4. An extra line/space will not be auto-inserted whenever you switch from RTE to HTML editor
  5. The insert image link now works correctly in all browsers

LiveJournal Cares

We’re pleased to introduce you to [info]lj_cares, a new LiveJournal community dedicated to raising awareness and funds for U.S. charitable organizations that improve the health and well-being of people around the world. Each month, we’ll spotlight a nonprofit that is making a significant global impact through medical research, public outreach, and/or humanitarian social programs. Charities will be selected in accordance with the U.S. calendar of national health observances based on a high rating (of over 60%) on Charity Navigator and global scope of impact.

In this, our inaugural month of November, we will celebrate national adoption month by offering a charitable virtual gift (priced at $2.99) to support Love Without Boundaries, an organization that saves the lives of orphans with life-threatening diseases and places them in loving homes around the world. LiveJournal will donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale of charitable vgifts (we'll cover the cost of credit card transaction fees). To learn more about Love Without Boundaries, please visit [info]lj_cares and read about how they helped save Baby Kang and the Rainbow Twins from fatal illnesses, who are now thriving in nurturing families. You can purchase your Love Without Boundaries gifts in the Virtual Gift shop.

Hey there, minna-san, how are you? Good? I hope so...

I was watching a show at Tash's place called Psych, it's not bad, you should check it out. Basically, this guy with excellent observation skills was accused of being an accomplice during a robbery after identifying the true perp too well, and to get out of it, he claimed to be psychic. With his best friend Gus, he tries to assist the police by solving a lot of difficult cases using his "psychic" powers (only way he can, though he is still doubted by a couple of cops).

Anyway, I tend to pay too much attention to the credits flashing on the bottom of the screen as the show starts, and I'm glad I did this time. Michael Adamthwaite (Yzak in Gundam SEED) had a role in the show. He played Rory, a bloke doing community service with a stress line. I won't give away too much more than that.

Okay, and here's my "get this" thing. I was told ages ago that Mum and Dad were married the same year I was born. Okay, fine. Then I learned it was in November, while I am a December baby. Okay... Then, after seeing the date on my birth certificate, I found out they were wed on the 27th of November 1985. Let's see, in the span on ten days...

26/11/85: My best friend Gabby was born.
27/11/85: My parents got married.
06/12/85: I was born.

Yep, nine days after they got married, Honeymoon would've been cut short due to my being born. Wow...right? Seriously...wow...the things one learns...

That's it for now, minna-san. Ja ne!

PS--Saw Kurenai no Tsuki subbed this time, and since I can understand a lot more than "Genji", "Heike", "Kaerinaifu" and characters' names, I'm able to follow it better. Still wish it had a better ending though...and of course, the tears flowed during a particular scene... Oh, but I love Sensei's threat for the bandit! And seeing Atsumori's sad expression so many times made me just want to hug him.

I'm glad certain things were revealed in the OVA, such as the relationship between Benkei and Hinoe and Atsumori's truth.

Finished Neo Angelique ~Abyss~ -Second Age-, now to watch Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight Guilty, and then onto Pandora Hearts.

Oh, and I'm getting the Neoromance Christmas CD for my birthday!

Some Fan Videos and Cosplay Pictures!

Hey everybody! My friends and I have been working on a little Haruhi-based project (with funding from Image Anime, which is an anime retailer in NYC, so please forgive the product pushing ^^') which involves the S.O.S Brigade living in New York City!

So far there's two episodes and one promo out!

Episode 0: Watashi no TV wa Pilot

Episode 1: Night of the Living Horror Cliches

Episode 2: MECHA Lekka Hai, MECHA Lekka...OH GOD, THE BUDGET!

There's also a couple of pictures we took at the shooting! )

Thanks for looking! 8)

EDIT@08:16 UTC/GMT. Wow. That was ugly. I expected it to go for 30 minutes and have maybe 1 minute of broken connectivity. Instead it lasted over 4 hours and we had 10 minutes of downtime directly related to the load balancer upgrades and then another 5-10 minutes of downtime when our primary Pingback database server crashed and the secondary couldn't take over; which could have been indirectly caused by the network upgrade missing a self-VIP.

Anyways, we're up, we're working, the load balancers are barely breaking a sweat right now and I need some food and a shot of whiskey. I don't even *like* whiskey!!

Thanks [info]mhwest and [info]dnewhall for helping out!

---

On Saturday the 14th at 4AM UTC/GMT we will be upgrading the operating system of our network load balancers to a newer version, one that will allow us to use both CPUs! Nifty, because multiprocessing is nice.

Since we have 2 load balancers, the plan is to upgrade 1 at a time, and there really should be very little impact to our website. Hopefully you won't notice a thing and I'll get to go back to the hotel and watch some wonderful late night infomercials.

We've got a lot of exciting projects coming up for 2010 and we're hoping that we'll be able to deliver them all to you, that you will find it useful/cool/lovely and then you will use the site even more. Behind-the-scenes work like this will give us the capacity to handle the anticipated traffic, so expect a few more maintenance windows especially in the beginning of next year as we've got some neat ideas to improve performance around here! We had the recent 30-45 minute outage yesterday due to one of our logging databases filling up disk space -- not so great design coupled with my human error in handling the initial problem -- and it looks like we're going to finally have some resources to eliminate stuff like that. I can't wait!

As usual, I will be updating status.livejournal.org before and after, just in case you are not able to reach our main website during the work.

ayaka oh ayaka... YAJ oh YAJ....

Masalah utang beres, masalah laen2 beres semua, tinggal menikmati hasilnya aja ^^v
Well, walau hari ini capek total, tapi nyenengin banget!!

Lalu tidur 4 jam, jam 11 bangun seperti biasa....
Urusin paket~ Kabur!!

Pertama sih ke TIKI, beres!
Lalu ke CIMB Niaga untuk ke MoneyGrams lagi, tapi disana, setelah nunggu rada lama buat nanyain kursnya, abis mau dicoba ternyata tiba-toba offline, disuruhlah aku kabur ke CIMB Niaga Jalan Parangtritis yang jauhnya setengah matiiihh....

Nah, sampe sana, ternyata orang-orang sana GA PERNAH transfer MoneyGrams, jadinya cuman tanya-tanya dan telpon2 supervisornya dulu ampe 30 menit... Jam 14.30, wow wow~ Udah mau bisa gitu, suruh balik besok!! Katanya dah ditutup, KEPRET~

:p). Besok balek ke Post Office lage deeh... Akhirnya, rVn-Musikindo go international juga, wkwkwk... Emangnya cuman Utada ama Agnes yang bisa Go International? Gua juga bisa gan!! *ngakak*

Bablas ke Kujira bangunin si Guguk bego~ Wkwkkw... Lanjutkan ke Burjo, terus mabur ke rumah Dicky buat bayar utang pulsa ke Ninda, hehe... Biasalah, ngobrol2 ga jelas sambil nonton Spongebob... Doh, Tuhan... Kapan kau turunkan hujan di Jogja?? T__T

Panik, stress, protes, ga terima, dls dls... Mencoba untuk SMS dia, dan diperbolehkan naek limit jadi 2000 yen, thanks God, REALLY THANKS!!!

Udah mulai lega, akhirnya capek ga tertahankan juga, bobok dulu deh...

Minggu ini pesenanku dari HMV dateng juga:
ayaka - Winding Road
ayaka - Clap&Love/Why
ayaka - Te Wo Tsunagou
ayaka - Anata To
ayaka - I Believe
ayaka - Okaeri

Heheh...

*berdoa mendapatkan barang-barang ini :*
ayaka - Real Voice
ayaka - Jewelry Day
ayaka - Why/Clap&Love Limited CD+DVD
ayaka - Koi Kogarete Mita Yume/Yume wo Mikata Ni
ayaka - Minna Sora no Shita

kalo dapet, jadi koleksiku tinggal... Um...
ayaka - Mikadzuki
ayaka - Melody ~Sounds Real~
ayaka - Koi Kogarete Mita Yume/Yume wo Mikata Ni (Limited Edition)
dan ayaka - Sing to The Sky (+DVD Live in Budokan Limited Edition)

I love ayaka :D *korek2 tanah cari puluhan ribu yen yang mungkin ditanem ama kompeni*

Seperti kata Sunflower's Garden dalam openingnya Hunter x Hunter GI Final, BELIEVE IN TOMMOROW!!

YAJ, oh YAJ...

  • Nov. 11th, 2009 at 3:18 AM
Just wanna say, "Thanks God, akhirnya gaji masuk juga ^^v"
(rebes2 buat bayar utang ama buat simpenan akhir tahun)

*gantian kena sindrom YAJ gara2 shinhw4* T___T

Impian gua, maksimal akhir Januari 2009, semua single dan album ayaka, aku harus punya, ga peduli!! (sorry ayu, kalo lu mau gua sampe segila ini, mending lu istirahat, lu liburan deh 2-3 tahun gitu...)

Semangat taa, nabuung!!

Kuroshitsuji in my house (update)

  • Nov. 11th, 2009 at 7:59 AM
Hey there, minna-san, how are you? Good? I hope so...

Everything I'd ordered finally arrived~! On Monday, I got my Ciel plush as I mentioned. Yesterday, my Sebastian plush as well as the charm mascots of Ciel and Sebastian arrived (I have the figures sitting on my lappie, but they need bluetack since their heads are heavy...). Finally, this morning, my cards and brooches arrived, along with the Vampire Knight plush I bought for Tash.

I just had a look through the cards to see what pictures they had. Oh, there were some good ones, such as Grell (in human form) shyly dancing with Lau, one of the Grell (shinigami form) with William and Undertaker, and thankfully they spared no expense on the tutor!Sebastian and lady!Ciel images. There's a very cute one with Ciel looking like he's more than a little peeved about having to dress up the way he had. Oh yes, and a nice one of Grell (again, shinigami form) with Sebastian and Pluto (who is wearing nothing other than a collar and chain leash).

I still plan on getting the Sebastian nendoroid figure that comes with extra facial expressions and a cat. Someone did something amusing with theirs on DevArt, they put an M&M in Sebastian's arms while the "ahh, I love cats~~ <333" expression was in place and it made it look more like "ahh, I love M&Ms~~ <333" instead XDDDD

Oh, Tiffy-chan, finally got you a CKD gift. They had wallets at Videoland, so I got you a black and white one. I got black and gold. I'll send yours to you by the end of the week.

Before I close this entry, quick birthday shout-out to...Clavis (Angelique), Nagase Kaede (Negima), Roronoa Zoro (One Piece) and singer/seiyuu Suzuki Tatsuhisa (Viscount of Druitt in Kuroshitsuji, performed OP of Sukisho).

That's it for now, minna-san. Ja ne!

Somewhere, Everywhere...

Well, ga tau kenapa, terakhir dapet kemampuan ini sejak masih pelayanan di gereja 2 tahun lalu...

*ngakak ga karuan*

Pendapatku aja sih, no comment... ^^v

Yooozzzh, besok ke MoneyGrams~
Jangan deket2 Yahoo Auctions dulu ta, ntar 433 dolar ini kepake buat YAJ pula :p

*kabur sejauh mungkin sebelum ditabokin ama shinhw4*

  • Nov. 10th, 2009 at 1:30 PM
Yeeph, nothing to write about yesterday or today~
Since i've been so happy and could keep my happiness all the weeks ^^v

You're the best!!

Wow... Pihak Gramedia bisakah menjelaskan?? Ada beberapa kontributor yang ngamuk-ngamuknya via FB neh~ Kalo aku mah, sante aja~ Hahaha... Ambil sono 1,8juta gua kalo ga niat dibayar!! Tunda mulu!! Some posters (3).. There's Tsuruya (sp?), Mikuru, Yuki, and Haruhi. :3 They are pin up types, so yeah, bathing suits.

(Click the fake cut!)

Thanks for looking! Also, first post, so apologies if I messed up anywhere! ;o;

Hey there, minna-san, how are you? Good? I hope so...

My Kuroshitsuji items are starting to arrive one by one, just ten minutes go the courier came and dropped off my Ciel plush. When I have batteries for my camera, I'll take photos of the items I receive.

Ciel's looking at me with a funny expression on his face, kind of his bored "ah, whatever, this is pathetic" facial expression used in humorous scenes (I don't think anything will beat his expression when Sebastian starts fighting the dolls by singing London Bridge Is Falling Down...I swear, his expression reminded me of Miffy the rabbit (dots for eyes and a small x for the mouth)).

But this is awesome, everything is starting to arrive. I hope Sebastian arrives tomorrow, I'm terrible at cooking (thankfully I'm getting better, just don't ask me to cook chicken if you wish to live) and I know Ciel will be wanting lots of cakes. XDD

That's it for now, minna-san. Ja ne!

Hey there, minna-san, how are you? Good? I hope so...

Another seiyuu b'day is upon us, this time I'd like to say...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHINDOU NAOMI~~!!!

I'd also like to say Happy Birthday to Minamoto no Kurou Yoshitsune from Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3 and Sha Gojyo from Saiyuki who also celebrate their b'days today. So, for my marathon this year...

Crush Gear Turbo (Shindou-san is Kuroudo)
Get Backers (Shindou-san is Ban as a child)
Gundam SEED (Shindou-san is Cagalli, Torii and Eileen)
One Piece (Shindou-san is Kohza as a child as well as other characters)
Pokemon Advanced Generation episode 12 (Shindou-san is Noriko)
Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3 Onsen omake (I don't have Kurenai no Tsuki anymore, must redownload, but I do have the raw of the chibi omake)
Saiyuki Premium
Gensoumaden Saiyuki
Saiyuki Requiem
Saiyuki Interactive: Kibou no Zaika
Saiyuki Reload
Saiyuki Reload Gunlock

I hope I can fit those plus songs and dramas into my day...but I am quite amused at the fact that Ishida-san and Shindou-san (Athrun and Cagalli) celebrate their birthdays a week apart, though year won't be the same.

That's it for now, minna-san. Ja ne!

Hey there, minna-san, how are you? Good? I hope so...

I'm feeling better today.

I just found a vid of the live performance of Promised Rainbow from Neo Festa 10...the vid includes Tanaka Hideyuki and Taniyama Kisho who were only there on the 7th, so what I'm watching is the performance from December 6 last year...MY BIRTHDAY!!!

I couldn't be there personally (lack of passport, money, and language skills kept me from going) but this is just awesome!!

That's it for now, minna-san. Ja ne!
